Some of his notable works include advertisements like Nike’s 2004 Summer Olympics campaign, TV branding campaigns for ABC Supersize, Shop Channel and Discovery Quest as well as featured music in Sex and the City (HBO), FaceOff (NBC) and Access Hollywood (NBC). He was also the first composer to compose streaming interactive MIDI music for Sony Playstation and one of the first composers to become a licensed authorized developer for Sony Playstation.ĭavid has also enjoyed a career as a composer for television, for both advertisements and TV shows. He has composed music for more than 100 video games including Valerian: City of Alpha, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, X-Men: Mutant Academy, Pac-Man World 2, Asteroids, Pitfall 3D, NHL Hockey 2K3, Major League Baseball 2002 and Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm. He has worked with some of the top Video game companies in the world including Activision, Ubisoft, Marvel/Disney, Namco and Sony. In 1997, he moved from Toronto to Hollywood, California and started his career as a composer in the video game industry. In 1996, Logan started working with a writing team for the live action Disney TV show Ready or Not. Soon after, he started his first multimedia company M3: Music for Multimedia pioneering early techniques in interactive game composing. CareerĪfter his graduation from Berklee in 1994, Logan started his career with Player’s Music in Toronto as a staff composer and music director. David graduated with honors (magna cum laude) in 1994. While at Berklee he won the performance division achievement award and the Soren Christensen Film scoring achievement award. He started as a performance major and then transferred to the film scoring department. After Interlochen he was accepted to Berklee College of Music, Boston. He graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy as a performance major and composition minor, in 1990. In 1986, David started his music education at Oakwood Collegiate Institute and became an orchestral classical percussionist. To support his interest, his father bought him a set of drums at the age of 15. He developed his own taste in music at the age of 11, listening to bands such as Blondie, Elvis Costello and The English Beat. His father was fond of listening to classical music and his mother liked Motown artists and The Beatles. Born in Toronto, Canada, on August 27th 1969, Logan’s love for music began in childhood, supported by his family interests.
